Playing in English
You can get through the campaign without knowing English, but it will be harder. Path of Exile 2 has a lot of text on items and in the passive tree, and build knowledge relies on English names. Guides and videos mostly use the English names (Exalted Orb, Divine Orb, Spirit), even in countries where the game has its own language.
That is why our guides keep in-game names in English in every language, as in the English version of the game. To get started: beginner's guide and which class to start with.
Will more languages be added
GGG has not announced any new languages, including for 1.0. The Path of Exile forum has a player thread asking for Polish, with no reply from the studio. Path of Exile 1 has no Polish version either, even though it has been out since 2013.
The numbers show plenty of players from countries without a localisation: there are 5,069 Polish reviews on Steam, rated "Very Positive". For comparison, there are 8,150 German reviews (rated "Mostly Positive"), even though the game has a German version. If GGG announces new languages, we will update this article.
