Updated: 4 min read

When does Enshrouded 1.0 release

October 15, 2026. That is the day Enshrouded leaves Early Access. Keen Games: "Enshrouded releases out of Early Access on Steam on October 15th!", and the Steam store shows "Leaving Early Access: Oct 15, 2026".

The launch hour has not been announced — it is not on Steam or on YouTube. Keen Games has not announced the hour yet; we will add it when it appears. For launch day the developers have announced a "Highlights" video and the code for a Sparkworks showcase adventure.

Platforms

  • PC (Steam, Windows only) — October 15, 2026.
  • PS5 and PS5 Pro — on the same day. This is Enshrouded's first console release.
  • Xbox Series X|S — not on October 15. The developer: "We're still working on the Xbox version! Aiming for Spring 2027!"

Keen Games GmbH is both developer and publisher. Age ratings: PEGI 12, USK 12, ESRB T.

Price

Since September 8, 2026 the base price is 39,99 € — 10 € more than before. Steam prices on October 10, 2026 (no discount):

RegionPrice
USA$39.99
Germany (euro zone)39,99 €
United Kingdom£34.99
Poland149,99 zł

The only discount is the Palworld + Enshrouded bundle (−13%). Keen Games has not announced the PS5 price yet.

In the future the developers plan free and paid content, but no pay-to-win: "free and paid content, such as expansions, bundles. No pay to win, no battle passes."

The 39,99 € price applies since September 8, 2026. If you see a lower "pre-1.0" price online, it is the old Early Access price.

The game has an English and Polish interface. Steam lists 15 languages, all ticked for interface only — none has voice or subtitles ticked: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian and Thai.

What changes in 1.0

  • A new biome — Keen Games has not given its name. It brings a new enemy tier and a higher max character level. The developers also promise new locations and enemies, a better start for new players and better quest progression.
  • Combat, classes and magic — character level up to 50, gear up to 55, a skill tree reset, 9 new spells, summons, wand changes and new skills. Details: combat and class changes in 1.0.
  • Fell Dragon Youngling — a reworked boss that is not the final boss of the game. See: Fell Dragon Youngling rework.
  • Sparkworks — a new logic system for building adventures with levers, pressure plates, traps and doors. Details: Sparkworks.
  • Saves — no wipe; saves move to 1.0 automatically. Details: saves and your character after 1.0.
  • Quality of life — in the settings you can pick the old (instant) or the new updraft, characters get new proportions, and NPCs and animals get stuck less.
  • Fishing — a new system: bait from the biome, better bait guarantees the fish tier, and special fishing spots.
  • Performance — the developers promise the game will run "considerably faster": a new terrain renderer (Brick Renderer), shadow culling, SDF ray tracing 2 to 8 times faster, lower memory use, better networking and faster shader compilation. ReSTIR may come later.

What we don't know yet

As of October 10, 2026 Keen Games has not officially answered these questions:

  • what time the launch starts,
  • the name and size of the new biome, and how the story ends,
  • whether the red barrier at the map edge will go away (the developers: "working on it", no promise),
  • how many new Flame Altars there will be,
  • what changes for dedicated servers, and whether PS5 players can join PC servers,
  • the PS5 price,
  • whether the system requirements will change,
  • whether ReSTIR will be in 1.0,
  • the full changelog — expected on October 15, 2026.

After launch we will check the changelog and update this page.
