Enshrouded on PS5 and Xbox: release date, crossplay and price

When Enshrouded launches on PS5, PC and Xbox

The PS5 time comes straight from the PlayStation Store: "15.10.2026 05:00 PM UTC" on the Polish store and "01:00 PM EDT" on the US store. As of October 13 there is no hour on Steam or in Keen Games' announcements. The PS5 version is Enshrouded's first console release — on PC the game has been in Early Access since January 2024.

Why Xbox has to wait until spring 2027

Keen Games planned to release 1.0 on PC, PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S at the same time. Studio CEO Jan Jöckel in June: "As we approached launch, we decided that achieving the level of quality and performance we expect on Xbox would require additional time". The developers point to demanding technology: voxel building, fully terraformable terrain and advanced multiplayer systems.

Under the release date announcement the developer added: "We're still working on the Xbox version! Aiming for Spring 2027!". There is no exact Xbox date yet.

How much Enshrouded costs on PS5

There is no PS5 price yet. On October 13, 2026 the PlayStation Store (Poland and USA) shows only the release date — no price and no pre-order. We will add the price when it appears in the store.

For comparison, on PC (Steam) the game has cost $39.99 (39,99 € / 149,99 zł) since September 8, 2026. Keen Games has not announced a cross-buy for both platforms — buying the game on Steam does not give you the PS5 version.

Multiplayer on PS5: how many players, and do you need PS Plus

The PS5 details come from the PlayStation Store: "Supports up to 8 online players with PS Plus", "PS Plus required for online play", "Online play optional". On PC a world holds up to 16 people — how to set up or rent a server is in our dedicated server guide.

Crossplay with PC and moving your character

• There is no crossplay at 1.0. The developer under the release date announcement: "For those asking about crossplay, we aim to offer it in the future, but it will not be ready for 1.0." PS5 players will not join friends on PC or PC servers.
• Moving progress from PC to PS5 — Keen Games has not announced it. PC saves carry over to 1.0 without a wipe: saves and your character after 1.0.
• Adventure Sharing — the PlayStation Store description mentions "worlds and dungeons created by millions of players" and sharing your own "through our Adventure Sharing feature". Keen Games has not said outright whether adventures built on PC (for example in Sparkworks) will reach PS5.

PS5 Pro and the DualSense controller

• The game is labelled PS5 Pro Enhanced on the PlayStation Store. Keen Games has not described the graphics modes (resolution, frame rate) yet.
• DualSense: vibration and adaptive triggers (PS Store: "Vibration function and trigger effect supported").
• 22 accessibility features, including larger menu and interface text.

What PS5 players get

The PS5 version starts straight away as the full 1.0 — with the new biome, a character level cap of 50, reworked magic and the Sparkworks system. All the changes: Enshrouded 1.0 — release date, price and what's new and combat and class changes.

What we don't know yet

As of October 13, 2026 there is no official information on:

• the PS5 price, and whether there will be a pre-order or a launch discount,
• whether there will be a physical edition,
• which graphics modes PS5 and PS5 Pro get,
• the PS5 download size, and whether you can pre-load the game,
• whether you will be able to rent a server on PS5,
• the exact spring 2027 date for Xbox, and whether it comes to Game Pass,
• when crossplay arrives.
