Details

According to estimates from analytics firm Alinea Analytics, Phantom Blade Zero has sold around 500,000 copies on Steam alone before launch, worth $24 million in gross revenue. Analyst Rhys Elliott shared the figure on October 21, 2026, eight days before release. This is not data from S-GAME or Valve: the studio has not announced any sales number. The only official figures are 3 million wishlists across all platforms (September 17, 2026) and studio head Liang Qiwei's statement that pre-orders far exceeded expectations.

Other firms count differently. Gamalytic (checked on October 23, 2026) estimates 560,200 copies and $33.6 million, but with a wide range of 280,100 to 840,200 copies. The dollar gap comes partly from Alinea factoring in lower regional prices, for example in China. The estimates cover Steam only, without PS5 or Epic.

On Steam, it was the best-selling paid game worldwide in the week of August 11-18, 2026, right after pre-orders opened, and the top seller in China. The West is weaker: in the week from October 13, 2026, it ranked No. 78 in the US and No. 93 in Poland. Among games releasing in 2026 it has the most Steam wishlists, but in Steam's overall wishlist chart it sits at No. 6.
