poe.ninja: prices and popular builds
poe.ninja is a fan site for PoE 1 and PoE 2 ("not affiliated with or endorsed by Grinding Gear Games"). Since August 23, 2025 it also covers the former poe2.ninja: you switch games at the top of the page, and old links redirect.
Economy: prices. Currency rates come from Currency Exchange data that GGG provides in hourly chunks, so a price can be up to an hour old. Unique item prices are only estimated from listings on the official trade site.
- Open poe.ninja/poe2/economy and pick a category.
- Read the value in Chaos, Exalted or Divine Orbs.
- On a unique, click Trade: it opens a search for instant buyout listings only.
Builds: what other people play. For every class, item, gem and keystone you see the percentage of characters that use it.
- Click a class or a skill to narrow the list. Exclude items or skills to find off-meta builds.
- Since 0.5.5 you can also filter by "Main Skill Traits" (e.g. Totem, Trap, Triggered, damage type, Crit) and add columns such as attack speed.
- Open a character and import it into Path of Building, or save it as a Build Planner file (items are not included yet).
The DPS and defences shown for a character are simulated through Path of Building, not numbers taken from the game.
You can add your own character by connecting your account (GGG OAuth), even if it is not on the ladder, as long as its level is high enough. Connecting grants poe.ninja 90 days of access, which you can revoke at any time. Your poe.ninja profile is public by default; you can change that in your poe.ninja account settings.
poe2db: the game database
poe2db.tw is a fan database and wiki: item modifiers, gems, passive tree nodes.
- Go to poe2db.tw/us.
- In the menu, pick Items (gems, weapons, currency), Modifiers (including Desecrated Modifiers) or Endgame (Atlas, tablets, bosses).
- The passive tree is at poe2db.tw/us/passive-skill-tree, and Currency Exchange rates are at poe2db.tw/us/Currency_Exchange.
poe2db already has a version 1.0 page (including the Duelist, Acts 5 and 6, Heist and Blight), but it does not say where this information comes from. Treat it with caution until GGG publishes the patch notes.
Path of Building 2: calculating DPS and defences
Path of Building 2 (PoB 2) is a free offline build planner: it calculates damage and defences and plans your tree, skills and items. Supported modifiers are shown in blue, unsupported ones in red. Download it only from the Releases page of the PathOfBuildingCommunity/PathOfBuilding-PoE2 repository (the Setup.exe installer or Portable.zip).
The latest PoB 2 release is v0.23.1 from July 28, 2026. Data from the 0.5.5 patch (September 4, 2026) is so far only on the dev development branch on GitHub, not in a release. Results for 0.5.5 changes may therefore be out of date.
Importing a character:
- Click Import/Export Build in the sidebar.
- Click Authorize with Path of Exile and sign in in your browser (the program waits 60 seconds). When it works, you will see the status "Authenticated".
- Select your realm, click Start, then choose the league and the character.
- Click Passive Tree and Jewels and Items and Skills. Importing the tree overwrites your current tree.
Sharing: in the Build Sharing section click Generate and send the code. Paste someone else's code or link (e.g. from poe.ninja, pobb.in, Maxroll, poe2db) in the same section and choose Import to a new build.

The Build Planner only loads builds: you cannot create or edit them in the game. .build files go to Documents/My Games/Path of Exile 2/BuildPlanner, and you can also subscribe to a build on pathofexile2.com. GGG marks the format as experimental.
Maxroll imports your character with the "Import from your PoE2 Account!" button (your own characters only; Maxroll's description from March 30, 2025). Mobalytics lets you pick the game version (up to 0.5.5) and HC or SSF, but editing is locked on mobile.

Exiled Exchange 2 and Sidekick: price check with one hotkey
The game copies the text of the item under your cursor to the clipboard (Ctrl+C), and the program shows a window with filters for a trade search. In EE2 you choose which stats count.
- Exiled Exchange 2 is a fork of Awakened PoE Trade: Windows, Linux, macOS, version v0.16.3 from September 6, 2026.
- Sidekick works with PoE 1 and PoE 2: Windows and Linux, version v2026.9.1 from September 5, 2026 added the Forbidden Rites data.

You can change EE2 hotkeys in Settings. Sidekick's hotkeys are the defaults from the program's code. EE2 does not price check in the Divination Card stash tab or the Curio Display.
Download EE2 only from kvan7.github.io/Exiled-Exchange-2 or github.com/Kvan7/Exiled-Exchange-2. The sites exiledexchange2.com, exiledexchange2.net, exiled-exchange2.com and exiledexchange2.wiki do not belong to the author, who warns that downloading from anywhere else "may be unsafe or malicious".
Craft of Exile: crafting odds
Craft of Exile shows the odds of hitting a chosen combination of modifiers and the cost in Chaos Orbs, and it also has a mass simulation. It runs in your browser, with nothing to install.
- Open craftofexile.com/?game=poe2.
- Browse the modifier pool and pick the ones you want.
- Check the odds and the cost before you spend currency.
The site has data from version 0.5 and does not mention 0.5.5. The author asks you not to treat every result as an exact number. The basics are in our crafting guide.
Loot filter and trading
You can set up a loot filter on the free FilterBlade site (loot filter step by step), and buying on trade2 and in the Currency Exchange is covered in our trading guide.
What GGG allows
GGG does not encourage installing "tools", because there is no guarantee they are free from malware. Its developer documentation splits them into three groups:
- Websites (e.g. poe.ninja): "Little to no risk for end users".
- Programs running alongside the game (e.g. PoB 2): "While not encouraged, these are permitted." They may read the game's log files as long as the user knows what the program does with that data.
- Programs that interact with the game or its files: "strictly against our Terms of Use", resulting in immediate account termination.
Macro rules: you trigger a macro manually (no timers, no reacting to file changes, no reading the screen), it has one set function and performs one action in the game. One chat message or command counts as one action.
The Terms of Use forbid, among other things, modifying the game client or its data, bots, connecting to the servers with software other than the game client, and reverse engineering. A tool using GGG's API must not pretend to be official.
GGG does not keep a list of approved tools. Its standard reply on the forum says: "we're unable to guarantee if a tool is allowed or would remain allowed in the future". The EE2 author adds: "There are no approved apps created by community." EE2 and Sidekick read the text copied to the clipboard and show their own window. Their authors say they fit within the rules, but GGG has not confirmed this.
What about version 1.0
Version 1.0 launches on December 11, 2026: a big balance patch, the Duelist and Acts V–VI. Community tools need time to update after big patches, so in the first days check the dates of their latest releases. More: Path of Exile 2 1.0.
