1. Service provider
- The AFK Times site (afktimes.com, the "Site") is run by Opeenet sp. z o.o., registered office in Wrocław, ul. Świętego Mikołaja 8/11 lok. 208, 50-125 Wrocław, Poland, entered in the National Court Register (KRS) under number 0001057002 (Sąd Rejonowy dla Wrocławia-Fabrycznej we Wrocławiu, VI Wydział Gospodarczy KRS — the District Court for Wrocław-Fabryczna in Wrocław, 6th Commercial Division of the KRS), NIP 8952261686, REGON 526343626, share capital PLN 15,000 (the "Provider").
- Contact: kontakt@afktimes.com.
- A User is anyone who uses the Site.
- These terms are available free of charge on this page before you start using the Site; you can save or print them with your browser's functions.
2. Types and scope of services
The Provider offers the following services free of charge:
- Access to content — a calendar of game releases, rankings (most anticipated, fastest rising), game pages, guides and news.
- Search — searching for games and pages of the Site; it runs in the User's browser.
The Site does not require registration or an account and contains no paid services or ads.
3. Conclusion and termination of the contract
- The contract for the provision of services is concluded when the User starts using the Site (opens a page).
- The contract is concluded for the time of using the Site and ends when the User stops using it (closes the page). The User can stop using the Site at any time, without giving a reason and without costs.
4. Technical requirements
- To use the Site you need a device with internet access and an up-to-date browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
- The content can be read without JavaScript. Search and remembering the language you chose need JavaScript enabled, and remembering the language also needs browser storage (localStorage) enabled.
- Using the internet involves general risks, such as malware or impersonation of well-known sites (phishing). The Site never asks for passwords, game login details or payment details. Links to external sites (e.g. the Steam store) open pages that are the responsibility of their owners.
5. Rules of use
- The User must not provide unlawful content. The Site has no forms or comments — the User does not publish any content on it.
- It is forbidden to act in a way that disrupts the Site, in particular to overload the server with mass requests.
6. Complaints
- You can submit a complaint by e-mail to kontakt@afktimes.com. Please describe the problem, name the page it concerns and give an e-mail address for the reply.
- The Provider answers a complaint by e-mail within 14 days of receiving it.
7. Liability
- The content of the Site is for information only. Release dates, platforms and other game data come from the Steam store and from publishers, who often change them; rankings are derived from public Steam data according to the rules described in the methodology. The Provider does not guarantee that the data and guides are always up to date, complete and free of errors; we give sources with every guide.
- Game covers and thumbnails are displayed directly from Steam's servers. The Provider is not responsible for the availability or content of the services of Valve and other external sites.
- The Provider may temporarily switch off the Site or a part of it, e.g. for technical work.
- The provisions of this point do not exclude or limit the Provider's liability to the extent that mandatory law does not allow it, in particular provisions protecting consumers.
8. Copyright and trademarks
- The Site is independent and not affiliated with Valve (Steam) or with the publishers of the games it describes. Game names, covers, graphics and trademarks belong to their owners and are used for information purposes only, with a link to the game's page in the store.
- The texts, lists and rankings of the Site are the Provider's own work. You may quote them and refer to them to a reasonable extent with the source (AFK Times) and a link; copying whole pages or whole lists requires permission.
9. Out-of-court dispute resolution
A User who is a consumer can use out-of-court ways of handling complaints and pursuing claims, among others the free help of a county (city) consumer ombudsman (powiatowy / miejski rzecznik konsumentów) or the permanent consumer arbitration court (stały polubowny sąd konsumencki) at the provincial inspectorate of the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). Information about these options is available on the website of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (uokik.gov.pl). Consumers from other EU countries can contact the European Consumer Centre in their country.
10. Governing law and changes to the terms
- Polish law applies to the contracts. The choice of law does not deprive a consumer of the protection given by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where they usually live.
- The Provider may change the terms for important reasons, e.g. a change in the law or in the scope of services. The new version is published on this page with its effective date and applies to the use of the Site after that date.
- The rules on processing personal data are described in the Privacy policy.
- These terms apply from 10 October 2026.
