Phantom Blade Zero release date
The wuxia action game from Chinese studio S-GAME launches on October 29, 2026. It arrives on PS5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) at the same time. No edition gets early access: Vice states this directly.
The date has moved once. The game was first set for September 9, 2026, but the creative director's letter on Steam on June 3, 2026 announced the new date, October 29, 2026 (a delay of 50 days).

In Poland the game unlocks in the middle of the night, at 03:00 on Thursday. Europe switches to winter time on October 25, which is why it is 03:00 CET and not 04:00. In the Americas and Brazil the launch falls on the evening of October 28.
Why Steam shows October 28
The Steam page lists October 28, 2026. That is not a second, earlier release. Steam displays the date in Pacific time (PT), and 02:00 UTC on October 29 is 19:00 PT on October 28. The Epic Games Store page says October 29, while NVIDIA's driver announcement also says October 28. They all describe the same moment.
The S-GAME site gives only the date, October 29, with no hour. You will find the time in PlayStation Store and in the material that came with the launch trailer.
Preload: when it starts and how big it is
- PS5: preload opens October 27, 2026 at 02:00 UTC (03:00 in Poland), which is October 26 at 19:00 Pacific time. It is for people who pre-ordered. PS Store pre-orders require immediate payment, and automatic downloads work only with automatic sign-in enabled on the PS5.
- PC (Steam, Epic): the preload time has not been announced (as of October 22). The Steam page does not mention preload. Watch Steam and Epic news on October 26 and 27.
- PS5 download size: about 134.86 GB. This is an unofficial figure from the PlayStation Game Size database, repeated by Notebookcheck and other outlets. No PC size has been published.
According to PlayGround.ru, the studio may release a day-one patch closer to launch, so leave some room beyond 134.86 GB.

PC requirements in one sentence: the minimum is a GTX 1660 6GB (or RX 5500 XT 8GB), 16 GB of RAM and an SSD, aimed at 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling (full table: PC requirements and settings).

Reviews: embargo and sales
The review embargo is due to lift around October 26, 2026, three days before launch (information from PlayGround.ru dated October 20). That means you may see the first scores and PC performance tests before the game unlocks.
Sales have not been officially stated. Analysts estimate that the game collected about 500,000 Steam pre-orders before launch, roughly $24 million (an estimate, not studio data). Earlier, in August 2026, Alinea Analytics spoke of about 300,000.
