Every current platform launches at the same moment: October 29, 2026, 02:00 GMT (03:00 CET in Poland). Steam shows October 28 because it uses Pacific time. For the full timing breakdown, see everything about the release.
PC: Steam and the Epic Games Store
The game launches on PC through two stores. The official site from S-GAME says pre-orders are open "on PS5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store". Standard costs $59.99 and Digital Deluxe costs $69.99. Epic Games Store buyers also get a Fortnite bonus: a Soul outfit and a pickaxe with a back bling.
On Steam the game is Windows only (no macOS or Linux). Controllers are fully supported, including DualSense and DualShock, and the store lists the game as "Gamepad Recommended". Whether DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers work on PC is not officially confirmed: Steam only lists DualSense controller support.
PS5 and PS5 Pro
On PS5 the game uses DualSense features: adaptive triggers (PlayStation says you feel, for example, the tension of a drawn bowstring) and haptic feedback. The PlayStation Store listing carries the "PS5 Pro Enhanced" label.
What do we know about PS5 Pro? Director Soulframe Liang told Wccftech on October 9, 2026 that Pro gets improved lighting and ray tracing, plus higher quality character and landscape models. Names of graphics modes, resolutions and frame rates for PS5 and PS5 Pro have not been published. In December 2025 Liang said the goal is 2K and 60 FPS on the base PS5, and a higher resolution at the same 60 FPS on Pro. That is a pre-launch target, not a confirmed final mode.
Do not buy blind for a specific graphics mode. Concrete PS5 and PS5 Pro settings will only show up in reviews and tests after launch.
The PS5 physical edition is planned for 2027 (announced on October 21, 2026). We cover the editions in editions and physical copy.
PS4: there is no version
Phantom Blade Zero has no PS4 version. The PlayStation pages list only the PS5 version, and S-GAME has never announced PS4. The studio has not given technical reasons. The game runs on Unreal Engine 5, but that is only background, not an explanation from the studio. With no PS4 version, there is also no "buy on PS4, upgrade to PS5" path.
Xbox: PS5 timed exclusivity
The PS5 console exclusivity came from the fine print of a trailer on the PlayStation channel in December 2025: "Not available on other consoles until at least 12 months after release date". It covers consoles only, and PC is available from day one.
What does it mean for Xbox?
- Nothing is announced. "At least 12 months" is a minimum, not a release plan. TrueAchievements stresses that the exclusivity is temporary, so Xbox "is still a possibility".
- The end date of the window is disputed. Media counted September 9, 2027 when launch was planned for September 9, 2026. After the delay to October 29, 2026, the window ends no earlier than the end of October 2027 according to media. Officially there is only the wording "at least 12 months".
- No other console gets the game before the window ends. That includes Switch 2.
Do not buy an Xbox with this game in mind. The only sure ways to play at launch are PS5 or PC.
Switch 2, Game Pass, PS Plus and cloud
Nintendo Switch 2: no version is announced, and PS5 exclusivity rules out other consoles for at least 12 months.
Game Pass and PS Plus: there is no information from S-GAME, Microsoft or Sony. The game is sold at full price, and with no Xbox version, a Game Pass release before the exclusivity window ends is practically impossible (our inference, not a company statement).
GeForce NOW: there is no official information, and players on the NVIDIA forum are asking whether the game will come. NVIDIA released a Game Ready driver with DLSS 4.5 for launch, but it covers the local PC version, not the cloud. In 2023 Liang said cloud gaming "could help" deliver the game across all platforms. That is a general remark, not an announcement of any service.
Phones: there is no Android or iOS version. The mobile "Phantom Blade" series (including "Executioners") consists of different, older S-GAME titles. In 2023 Liang said Unreal Engine 5 games were not yet feasible on mobile devices.
Steam Deck and handhelds
Valve has not given Steam Deck a rating (as of October 22, 2026 there is no compatibility report). The developers have not shown the game on Deck. Minimum specs are a GTX 1660 6GB / RX 5500 XT 8GB at 1080p and 30 FPS with upscaling, plus an SSD, so Deck may sit at or below the minimum (our inference, not a statement from the publisher). Do not count on a solid 60 FPS until you see tests after launch.
Cross-save and cross-buy
Steam lists Steam Cloud saves, but only within that platform. There is no official information about moving saves between PS5 and PC or about a shared purchase. Assume PS5 and PC are separate purchases.
